What do we do if we get sick and have to sing?
It sucks for singers but it’s inevitable: you don’t feel well, but you still have to sing – at an audition, in a class, on a gig. What do you do?
In wintertime or in dry climates, for starters, drink plenty of water. Winter air is very drying. If you workout outside in cold temperatures, be extra mindful of wearing a scarf around your neck – and around your nose and mouth if you can – to help keep the air you’re breathing in a bit warmer and moister. This is much better for your voice.
