About Jeannie

Whether it's Jazz, Rock, Soul, Folk, Singer/Songwriter, Blues, and yes Opera too– Jeannie Gagné loves to sing. So, when people ask her "what's your sound?", Jeannie describes her own artist project as a mixture of what calls her: a bit bluesy soul, a bit jazz, a bit thoughtful/spiritual stuff, and a little edgy rock for some sauce. "It used to be you had to define yourself in one genre, but these days it's just about good music! Can I have an amen!"

What matters is being authentic, real. What matters is building and nurturing our combined community. What matters is spreading a little love every day, through the music we make.

As a teacher of voice both privately and as Associate Professor of Voice Berklee College of Music in Boston, Jeannie encourages what is precious within each individual.

Part vocal technician and part life-coach, she focuses on building healthy, career-lasting technique for whatever style of music a singer is called to explore.
